Clean Up Woollahra & Neighbour Day 2017

We held this community event in Moncur Reserve on Sunday March 5th, which was Clean Up Australia Day. Luckily the rain stayed away and we were able to clean up about 20 streets in our area.

A common complaint from our dedicated band of volunteers was the number of cigarette butts, mainly outside businesses and in the gutters - we were not sure what the solution is to this problem - any ideas??

This year, the Council gave us 3 large wheelie bins which we filled as well as 3 large bags of rubbish that wouldn't fit in the bins. A wonderful effort from everyone.

After the hot work, everyone enjoyed the Neighbour Day sausage sizzle.

This community event was coordinated by our Association and the Holdsworth Centre. Thank you Eric Scott and thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who assisted on the day. You have again made a difference in our community.
