    Start planning your display!

    The QSWWA will again be holding the Christmas Window Display Competition this year for all businesses in the area, following on from the success of the three previous years. With over 50 eye catching entries last year, competition will be fierce, so start planning your entry now. It's a fantastic opportunity to attract and retain local and out of area shoppers to our wonderful precinct. 

    Entry is free to all businesses in the Queen Street & West Woollahra district, so just click on the button to enter. Judging will be on the Saturday, December 7, when the QSWWA will also staff a table 10am to 5pm children’s votes for the Children’s Choice award. Winners will be announced at the Awards Presentation event on Wednesday, December 11 at a venue to be announced, so please book that into your diary. Further details to come.

    Get your creative juices flowing and start planning your prize-winning entry now and let’s keep the crowds coming back to Queen Street and surrounds! Entries must be received by November 3 latest to ensure inclusion in the November Village Voice.

    Prizes are:

    First, second and third prizes: decided by the judges

    Mayor’s Prize: decided by the Mayor

    President’s Prize: decided by the President for the best limited budget display

    People’s Choice: decided by the votes cast at the QSWWA table in Queen Street on Saturday December 7

    REGISTER NOW FOR THE LATE NIGHT FRIDAY SHOPPING EVENT TO ENSURE LISTED IN ALL PUBLICITY AND PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES

    WHO IS ELIGIBLE: all stores in Woollahra who want to participate.

    WHEN:  Friday March 28 to Sunday March 30, 2025, 5.00-8.0pm

    WHAT: A combined late night opening event for all stores in Woollahra to invite their customers to a gala event to start the weekend with a bang and offer them bubbles and canapes and potential special deals for the weekend. This is a great way to strengthen ties with existing customers, attract new customers and position Queen Street as the retail capital of Sydney.

    HOW: Simply click on the button to register. No payment is required. 

    WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING ON THE FRIDAY NIGHT: In conjunction with Friday Late Night  Shopping, we are planning an Oyster and Champagne opening event with music open to everyone and including the official welcome and opening by the Mayor. This is a great follow-on event for fashion shoppers before dining at one of our excellent restaurants.

    AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERY BUSINESS IN WOLLAHRA TO CELEBRATE OUR UNIQUE VILLAGE IN 2025

    WHEN: a weekend-long Festival providing a unique opportunity for all local business from Friday March 28 to Sunday March 30, 2025.

    WHAT: An exciting combination of events for all ages. Highlights include:

    General events: a grand opening by the Mayor at an Oysters and Champagne cocktail party with music and mingling; a literary weekend comprising six sessions with renowned authors; a cinema under the stars evening; a major BBQ lunch event and wine tasting; a jazz in the park afternoon as well as performances by local singers, artists choirs and school groups.

    Individual and group business events: Late-night champagne store openings, talks on trends fashion, interior design, special menu events at local restaurants food and wine tastings, street stalls and more.

    WHERE: A cordoned off Dorhauer Lane Car Park including a marquee, Chiswick Park and, subject to funding, a cordoned off Queen Street location on the Oxford Street side, plus events in individual business premises.

    WHY YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED: Woollahra Festival 2025 provides a unique opportunity to business for collaboration, strengthen relationships with existing customers and attract new ones to the area. But putting it on is a costly exercise. Council has provided a grant for of $25.000 and the QSWWA a further $10.000 as a start-up but we need all businesses large and small to contribute financially as well as and participating to help create a rich and diverse programme and experience for all.

    LEVELS OF SUPPORT: 

    Major sponsor or Festival Stream sponsor (eg. Literary Festival Sponsor, Design & Furnishings Weekend Sponsor): level of sponsorship to be discussed. Potential benefits include brand exposure to a highly attractive target market with branding on all promotional materials (printed, website etc), exclusive invitation for guest to the opening Ceremony, naming rights and branding for second site with own marquee. (eg. the ABC Co Woollahra Festival 2025 Site). Full page advertisement in the Village Voice.

    Gold supporter: $1,000. Half page advertisement in the Village Voice (value $1150) plus listing on the Festival website directory.

    Silver supporter: $500. Quarter page advertisement in the Village Voice (value $660) plus listing on the Festival website directory.

    Bronze supporter: $250. Listing on the Festival website directory.

    The Woollahra Festival 2025 is part of the Celebrate Woollahra 2025 program.
