Woollahra Village Fashion Show

What a day it was! Queen Street – decorated in yellow and white for the occasion – was filled with excited locals, guests, participants, models, and business owners, all making their way to the Woollahra Hotel for the highlight event, an exclusive fashion show showcasing the village’s leading designers and stores.

The upstairs bar of the Woollahra Hotel was transformed into a runway space and following a welcome by Giles Edmonds, president of the QSWWA, the event was officially opened by the mayor of Woollahra, Sarah Dixson. An audience of more than 180 watched the show, introduced by the editor of Esquire Australia, Grant Pearce.

Orson and Blake Consultancy’s David Heimann curated a clever collection focused on the 2025–26 spring/summer collections for men, women and children, together with a nod to the upcoming Spring Racing Carnival. Queen Street’s leading fashion houses and stores were represented, including Moss and Spy, Cable Melbourne, Reads, Riada Concept, Aquel and MJ Bale, and the Monogram Mode displayed their collection of must-have childrenswear.

Models from local agencies Priscilla’s Model Management and Chic Management sashayed through the bar and out into the terrace to a funky beat created by DJ D-Flat. Models wore an eclectic mix of exclusive local and international brands, chic ready-to-wear and luxurious evening gowns. Accessories were provided by Tanora and Axel Mano, and sunglasses by Richard Banks Optometrist.

Hairstyling (a combination of sleek ponytails, low chignons and smooth bobs) was created by local hairdressing salons – Chris Hunter and his team at Willomina, John Colantuono of Queen Street Hair and Beauty, and James Pearce at Jimmy Snips. Makeup was by Sean Brady.

Backstage, the dressers, students from the National Fashion College, assisted in the dressing of 19 models for some 80 changes of outfit.

Matthew Ely Jewellery added to the glamour with a stunning display of hand-crafted jewellery while Susan Avery Flowers and Summers Florals provided the gorgeous blooms for the inside and outside of the hotel.

Champagne flowed courtesy of Piper Heidsieck, alongside delicious chicken sandwiches and Bistro Moncur’s signature petit fours, the perfect pairing to an afternoon of fashion, fun, and community connection. Each guest received a souvenir program and a gift bag filled with a selection of wonderful items generously contributed by fashion and lifestyle stores throughout Woollahra village. It was a day to remember — a true celebration of Woollahra’s style, heart, and heritage.
