QSWWA Annual Dinner 2025 Click here to go straight to photos. It may have been a cold and windy night outside on July 2 but the atmosphere inside Bistro Moncur was very much a warm buzz for the 76 members and guests attending the QSWWA 2025 Annual Dinner. As always, it was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet and make new friends, as the noise levels indicated! The festivities started with a glass or two of Piper Heidsieck champagne, courtesy of the QSWWA as part of our Woollahra Festival 2025 celebrations. The outstanding dinner menu comprised a number of Bistro Moncur's tried and true favourites including chicken liver pate and french onion souffle gratin for entree, whole roasted arcadia chicken with perigord truffle jus, fillet of oven roasted barramundi with tomato, papers and kalamata olives and roast grain fed chateaubriand with Cafe de Paris butter for main course, all followed by Bistro Moncur delicious petits fours. Accompanying the food was a choice of Tyrrell's Hunter Valley Chardonnay or Rufus Stone Shiraz, both exceptional wines, and all complemented by highly attentive service from the Bistro Moncur staff. A big thanks to Alister Campbell, Simon Tebbs and all the Bistro Moncur team for for putting on such a wonderful dinner, and especially for Executive Chef Tom Deadwood for his insights on the menu. Many thanks to Paul Mcguire for the photographs below and finally, a big thanks to Susie Willmott for organising the event so well on behalf of the QSWWA. Giles Edmonds, President, QSWWA |
