Jazz in the Park, Sunday, November 23, 2025, 4-7pm

Chiswick Park, 65 Ocean Street

The Queen Street & West Woollahra Association (QSWWA), in conjunction with Chiswick Restaurant, invites all local residents and visitors to a relaxed late afternoon from 4pm to 7pm in the beautiful Chiswick Park. Local residents can bring a rug, listen and chill out to some cool jazz from brilliant musicians while enjoying your own picnic and wine or order some delicious food and drink from Chiswick Restaurant. A fabulous way to unwind, whether you are on your own or part of a group or family. Come for half an hour or stay for the whole performance - you’ll be surprised how quickly time flies.

No need to book. Entry is free – just come along with friends and family. This event is proudly supported by Woollahra Council and Chiswick Restaurant. (With some warmer weather now, this has been rescheduled after having been postponed due to rain over the March Festival weekend)

Late Night Christmas Shopping, Thursday, November 27, 2025, 4-8pm

Queen Street and surrounds

Come and enjoy Late Night Christmas Shopping with bubbles, nibbles, instore specials and Christmas Window Displays in over 50 stores. The streets will be full of music as you tap your feet to Cassy & the Bossa Beats, raise your energy levels with Soul Drummers and enjoy ‘la vie en rose’ with accordionist Phillipe Wittwer. Enjoy a sparkle and shine and a sip of something French at Matthew Ely Jewellery, a delicious gelato at M. J. Bale or something from the gin bar in Living Design, all while perusing their fabulous ranges and taking advantage of instore special offers. Further details to come on instore events and specials.

But that’s not all. The Woollahra Hotel’s is holding its Christmas Market that night, offering a hand-picked selection of local favourites and boutique brands that capture the spirit of Christmas in Woollahra, a real Santa for photos and a live school choir. Guests can enjoy the hotel’s famed hibachi grill firing up festive delicacies, live jazz music, and champagne and drink specials throughout the evening. Click here for more details.

The music starts at 4pm, so make sure you come early and enjoy everything Woollahra shopping and hospitality has to offer. QSWWA Community Christmas Carols, Tuesday, December 2, 5.00-7.30pm,

Chiswick Park, 65 Ocean Street

It’s Christmas, so it’s on again! The QSWWA will hold the Annual Community Christmas Carols in Chiswick Park, Ocean Street, on Tuesday 2 December, a tradition going back nearly 40 years. Bring your picnics and rugs, and bag a precious spot close to the action. Stalls, including face painting and balloon animals for children, will open at 5.00pm, followed by an official welcome and opening by the mayor at 6pm. Always a star turn, the Woollahra Public School Choir will be performing again, and community carol singing will be led by the Holdsworth Choir. The barbecue will be staffed by Chiswick Restaurant to complement your picnics, and refreshments will be available, including wine, champagne and oysters. Father Christmas will also be attending and available for photos with families and children. As always, there will be raffle tickets for sale with great prizes for the lucky winners courtesy of our generous local businesses. Put the date in your diary, pack your picnic and make it another very memorable evening.

QSWWA Christmas Window Display Competition for Businesses

All around Woollahra


It’s coming up to Christmas and Woollahra’s shop windows will all have a wonderful Christmas look and display. Yes, the QSWWA’s Christmas Window Display Competition is on again this year for all businesses in the area. With over 50 eye catching entries last year, competition will be fierce and the streets will look amazing.

Judging will be on the Saturday, December 6, when the QSWWA will also staff a table 10am to 3pm where anyone can vote for the People’s Choice award. Further details to come including a link to download a map showing all the entrants.
