NSW Government's Rezoning Proposals for Woollahra and Edgecliff

The information below and in the precinct pages in the submenu is provided to help concerned residents understand the full extent of what the Rezoning Proposals would mean for Woollahra and Edgecliff. There are numerous documents on the NSW Planning website, numbers on the diagrams are hard to read and its challenging to know where to start. We will be continuously updating these pages in the next few days.

In addition, the NSW Government Proposal appears to be lacking several key studies and detailed reading of the technical documents that have been released reveal numerous inconsistencies. See the Major Issues for Concern page for a list of the major issues we have identified so far. These are there to help you in deciding what issues you would like to raise in your submission.

You can listen to an excellent discussion on the proposed rezoning on Eastside FM89.7FM's The Sydneyist where Elizabeth Farelly and is joined by urban experts Andrew Andersons AO (Fmr Asst Govt Architect) & Prof. Philip Thalis (AIA Gold Medallist) and Mayor of Woollahra Sarah Dixson. Listen to the 30 minute recording here. Mr Andersons and Prof Thalis are impartial experts and are very much against the proposals and their comments are extremly insightful.
