Woollahra Against Radical Rezoning

The Queen Street & West Woollahra Association's fight to preserve our heritage against the NSW Government's community destroying rezoning plans.

Impact of the Council's Alternate Approach on Woollahra and Edgecliff

Full details of Woollahra Council's Alternative Approach can be found on their website here. There is also a Community Information Session being held on Thursday 10 September from 6pm - 7:30pm at Woollahra Library Double Bay. Click here for further details and to register (space are limited).

Below is a summary table of the number of additional dwellings that would be created in various areas of Woollahra and Edgecliff followed by maps of the proposals for each area and, were available, an ilustration of what the build form would look like. All diagrams are taken from the Council's detailed report. The range in projected dwellings is for assumptions of 100 sqm or 150 sqm units. Note that the Council is not proposing rezoning in a number of areas.

For futher details on individual precincts, see the sections below. Please note we have done our best to represent the plans and illustrations in the Council report but the data shown here may not cover all of the precinct. If in doubt, please refer to the Council Report, Alternate Approach to the State Led Rezoning, August 2026, available for download at the above website link.
